Piper’s Fort – “Piper”

Piper is an 8 year old OTTB gelding who stands about 15.2 hands. He’s cute and stocky with an incredibly sweet face and kind eye. Piper suffered a fractured sesamoid track at the track in 2010 and was able to enjoy nearly two years off to both recover and enjoy life as a horse. During his time off he made it loud and clear that he was both bored and eager for a job, and this is when he was sent to us here at After the Races.

Piper would make an excellent trail horse, western pleasure, or English pleasure riding horse, but due to his prior injury should not go into a jumping discipline. We have been riding Piper western and he has taken to it immediately. Stands for mounting and has a lovely jog and lope. He has begun learning to neck rein and is being introduced to trails.

No vices. Sound and sane, just needs a job!

Piper is currently available for adoption for $600.
