Speak Unity is a gorgeous, 16.1 hand, 6 year old gelding that came to us in partnership with Beyond the Wire in Maryland. This guy is incredibly well bred. Born in Kentucky, he is by Union Rags and out of a Dynaformer mare. He never went through any sales but likely would have done very well if he had! Speak Unity retired after his 47th race, making him a warhorse in our books.

Unity came to us with suspensory injuries in both front fetlocks. Our intake evaluation with our vet showed the left front suspensory body was thickened but not painful, and the right front was still warm and painful. We plan to do a new ultrasound at the end of January/beginning of February, but our vet believes once healed (hopefully late summer/early fall) he should have a good prognosis for dressage as well as jumping around 2'6".

Unity arrived in just hind shoes (pictured) but is now barefoot. He has been very good to handle and has no vices whatsoever. He's a very pleasant horse with a sweet temperament. Hopefully he'll be one that's amateur friendly down the road once he's had more of his rehab time behind us.
