Twixter is a 5 year old, bay gelding that came to us in partnership with Aftercare Charles Town. He raced 41 times retiring in October. He reportedly retired sound after showing he was no longer as competitive on the track and an evaluation on the track found him sound and clean.

Twixter is by Paynter and out of a Dancer's Gate mare. This means he's a grandson of Awesome Again as well. He settled right into life on the farm, has no vices, and a sweet temperament.

Twixter had a great intake evaluation with our vet who also found him sound and clean and had no reason to limit his future prospects. With his temperament and looks, we're not sure why he is still here!

Weather finally allowed us to have our first ride on Twixter and he was very willing and straightforward, even walking and trotting over poles his first ride back after almost 3 months of well-deserved down time.

Twixter has the potential to be a great partner for an amateur with a trainer. He's a very cool horse.
