Bryson's Option is a big, 16.2+ hand, 4 year old, grey gelding who came to us in partnership with Aftercare Charles Town. He came to us quite fit, having raced through March! Bryson is a Maryland bred that raced 17 times. He's by Cross Traffic and out of a After Market Mare. This means he's a grandson of Unbridled's Song, with Storm Cat on his dam's side.

First impressions are that Bryson has been good to handle, shown no vices, and he was a gentleman for his photo shoot.

We do know that he has a chip on a hind sesamoid that he reportedly did as a yearling, then went on to race on it, so we're hopeful it won't be too limiting. While our vet found his legs clean, he was a bit sore behind so she suggested we turn him out for a month and check back after he's had his feet done and settled into farm life a bit.

He's available now to a home willing to take on a bit of risk and that would have light riding goals (no jumping). We hope he'll be able to do more but for now we're giving him some time and would be conservative as far as what kind of home he's suitable for.
