Adhwaa is a beautiful, 16 hand, 9 year old, bay mare that came to us directly from her past racing connections. She is very well bred being by Daaher and out of a Dynaformer mare. One of her past racing owners claimed her back after her 49th race just to see her retire safely (which we love!). She also saw her get a very good restart toward her next career.

Adhwaa's restart included being in a consistent training program that incorporated long lining and dressage lessons four times a week. In August of 2025 she had an accident out in the field and strained a DDFT. Thankfully there were no core lesions, and she was in a terrific rehab program before coming to ATR to finish her rehab and find a perfect new home. She has been a perfect patient from day one!

It's now been over a year since her injury and Adhwaa recently graduated to full turnout with two other mares who she gets along very well with. She's also been getting both in hand and under saddle exercise and is now cleared to do a good amount of walk/trot work under saddle. Our vet believes Adhwaa will have few, if any, limitations on her next career!

Adhwaa has proven to be very sensible (even lazy) and happily walks and trots around the arena on a loose rein. She's also been doing some ground poles and raised poles. She enjoys being groomed, cross ties well, and has no vices.

While still green, Adhwaa has a great brain and a lot to offer to someone who will enjoy one that has a bit more whoa than go currently, and is happy continuing to gradually increase her exercise. She can do just about unlimited walk/trot in an arena right now and should be rechecked around the first of October to get cleared for more. She will certainly be ready for a full/unlimited return to work by Spring.

We think Adhwaa would make an adorable hunter, sweet pleasure horse, or fun all around horse for a confident adult amateur. She's definitely one worth keeping tabs on and coming to see if you might be interested!
