James Gang, "Gangster," is a 7 year old, 16 hand, chestnut gelding that came to us in partnership with Aftercare Charles Town. After selling for $175,000 as a yearling, Gangster went on to race all around the country, retiring after his 30th race this May. He is by Dialed In and out of a First Samurai mare, meaning he has a power packed pedigree!

Gangster retired sound and was evaluated by a great vet upon retirement who confirmed this. His intake evaluation with us went about as well. He had a sore hind foot on arrival that's since improved greatly in a short time after having his racing plates pulled and being turned out. He is not expected to have any limitations on his next career and seems like a really good guy!

He settled into our farm life pretty quickly and has been very straightforward. He has no vices and is just getting a bit of time to let down before going back to work. He's also already put weight on since the photos below were taken. He should be a really fun project for the right person, and could go in any direction!
