Bullet got adopted by Kaite and is staying here in Maryland. She found her new home in February 2023. She and Katie are going to pursue goals in eventing or dressage.

Original Post: Bullets Lady is a good sized, 6 year old, bay mare who arrived by way of Beyond the Wire in Maryland. She is by Seville (GER) and out of a Red Bullet mare. One of my friends used to say Seville doesn't throw the best race horses, but he produces great riding horses, and we've found that to be the case as well here.

Lady is retiring after 15 starts simply due to slowing down this season, and retired sound. Other than being a little footsore, she had a great evaluation with our vet. Her feet have since toughened up and she's now ready to rock and roll.

Lady has no vices and gets along well with other horses, including geldings, in turnout. She enjoys being brushed and has been doing well in our crossties.

After an extended letdown period while she was toughening up those feet, Bullet's energy level has really mellowed out nicely. We've only played with her a bit on the ground so far but she's engaged and willing and looks to her handler for instruction in the round pen. She's ready to go to work under saddle, we just haven't been able to yet due to weather and footing constraints.
