True Appeal is a very sweet, 11 year old, bay gelding who came to us direction from an owner who could no longer afford to keep him. "Tucker" is by Successful Appeal and out of a Yes It's True mare. He raced 36 times, retiring in 2020 and has been in very light work in recent years.

Tucker was sound for his intake evaluation. He does have a pretty big osslet but is sound on it and our vet thought he would do very well in any discipline on the flat and could do some low level jumping here and there for fun if his adopter is into that.

Tucker is turned out with mares and geldings and has no vices. He's currently barefoot. Tucker is a very kind horse who has shown us over the course of a couple rides that he's likely had some post-track education, it just hasn't been tapped into in recent years. While his second ride he still felt fairly green, he still happily led a wary horse over ground poles, and even ponied the other horse briefly without batting an eye. He also started softening and going onto the bit at the walk and showing glimpses of it at the trot.

Every ride we get he seems to give us a little bit more and while he's not beginner safe now, we could certainly see him growing into a family horse one day. He'd also make a lovely pleasure horse for someone willing to take their time to refresh more of the training we believe is in there, and put more work into him beyond that as well.
