Spunky Ali Cat is a 6 year old, bay mare who arrived the other day by way of Aftercare Charles Town. This West Virginia-bred mare is by Master Rick and out of a Fiber Sonde mare and raced a total of 29 times. Her trainer gave her the winter off (as they said they do most or all of their horses) and then decided to retire her after she came back a bit sore after going back to work this March.

Ali has been evaluated at the track by a good vet who thinks she'll do fine after she's had 45-60 days of turnout to be a horse before returning to non-racing work. We'll of course have her evaluated by our vet as well when she arrives, but we're excited about her.
