Churchill Downs Foundation includes ATR in its "Racing for More" event!

To celebrate the 150th running of the Kentucky Derby, The Churchill Downs Foundation has partnered with 20 TAA-accredited aftercare organizations for the "Racing for More" event, by pledging $150,000 to support these vital programs. On Monday, April 29, a special aftercare post position draw will be held on the Churchill Downs backside where each horse in the Kentucky Derby field will be paired with an aftercare organization. Each organization will receive a donation based on the placement of "their" horse.

$25,000 - 1st Place

$20,000 - 2nd Place

$15,000 - 3rd Place

$10,000 - 4th Place

$5,000 to 5th-20th Place In addition to this, the organizations all have fundraising pages set up by the Kentucky Derby team at Churchill Downs. Fans are encouraged to place a donation for their favorite Kentucky Derby contenders on this donation page. Donations raised via the website will be added to the organization's "winnings" after the event and 100% of the donations will go to the organization you support.

After the Races is thrilled to be a part of this event. It's creative, it's fun, it's engaging, and we think it's amazing to see Churchill Downs giving back and encouraging giving to the organizations that actually take the horses from the racetrack when they're done racing, rehabilitate, retrain, and rehome them. ATR is getting more and more excited for the running of the 150th Kentucky Derby, and we hope with the addition of this program, you are too!
