“Thursday” is a 6 year old, 15.2 hand gelding who was returned to ATR after they fell on hard times. We had Thursday as a 3 year old and he was one of the quietest, most steady horses to come through our program. True to form he remains the same, and after putting some weight back on him and getting the shine back in his coat, he’s ready to start looking for a new home.
Thursday has a really easy going personality, good manners, no vices, and no limitations. We have been enjoying having him back in work. He is lovely at the walk and trot and is gaining fitness at the canter, which is nice too! He happily hops over small jumps and logs and is certainly capable of more! He does ride both English and Western, has done some ring work and jumping over the past few years as well as extensive trails.
I’d feel comfortable putting confident kids on him under the supervision of a trainer or knowledgeable parent. He’s also nice enough that a smaller adult could really have a ton of fun with him. Just about anyone would enjoy and have fun with this horse under saddle whether they’re doing work in a ring or riding out on trails or rocking some paper chases.
