Description
Typo was adopted in early May, 2017 by repeat adopter Kaitlyn. Kaitlyn is an event rider who was looking for another prospect to bring through the levels, joining her mare Tillie (ATR grad No It Isn’t). With Tillie getting ready to approach the Prelim level, we can’t wait to see how well he does!

“Typo” is a dark bay, 15.2 hand gelding that arrived in April from Penn National’s New Start for Horses program. He is 4 year old that retired after only eight lifetime starts. While his career started out strong, he developed a wind issue toward the end of the career that ultimately retired him. Sound and otherwise athletic, we’re remaining optimistic that, like many wind issues in racing, it won’t affect his potential for a second career.
Typo was scoped by our vet on 4/17/17 and went to the UEA clinic on 4/21/17 for a follow-up appointment. He is currently undergoing medical treatment for a throat infection (chondritis) and we’re optimistic that he’ll be ready to go into work and be ready for adoption after he finishes his two week course of meds.
Typo is an absolute puppy dog of a horse who cuddles up to every person he meets. He is very easy to handle and work with, great for the farrier and vet, and has excellent overall manners. He is a bit of a weenie in turn-out and does best with easy-going horses who won’t pick on him too much. Typo is also a very easy keeper!
