Description
Winston was adopted in February of 2016 by Kate from Birchrunville, PA. Kate was looking for her next forever horse in addition to her next partner in the hunter ring and is very excited about adding Winston to her family. We wish them all the best!

This stately gelding is a big 3 year old who already sticks over 16.2 hands. After an unassuming career at the track, Winston retired sound and came to ATR sweet and easy to handle. He’s a very kind horse who looks to his handler for direction. Other than a tiny, old splint or two (that you wouldn’t see unless pointed out), he arrived good shape with pretty clean legs.
It was reported to us by the track that he has one tiny chip in one knee that we’re optimistic will pose no concern for a future competitive career. There are x-rays available for serious adopter inquiries but we highly recommend seeing the horse in person. Winston is a lovely mover who really likes to point his toes and we think he would do well in just about any competitive discipline while being quiet enough to enjoy for pleasure as well.
After an evaluation by our veterinarian we feel comfortable recommending Winston without concern in dressage and up through Training level eventing or other competitive careers. He is sound and was sound for examination, but we always recommend a PPE to adopters looking for upper level prospects.
