Weather Helm was adopted in August of 2022 by Deb and her daughter Clara. Clara is excited to bring Weather Helm along with her trainer as her pony club mount!

Weather Helm is a 3 year old, stout, 15.2 (and a half inch!), bay gelding who just arrived by way of Beyond the Wire in Maryland. He is unraced but did have several (fairly slow!) workouts which makes him eligible for the RRP for those interested. This handsome guy is by Hard Spun and out of a mare who is by Ghostzapper and a Thunder Gulch mare. Classy breeding!

Weather Helm is sound and uncomplicated. He reportedly has an old chip in one knee which surgeon Dr. Hogan said didn’t need to come out and wouldn’t limit his future much if at all. Our vet looked at him and said he was a very sound, clean horse who should do well in any discipline though she personally thought he looked like an eventer (we think hunter, so really any direction!).

Weather Helm is very quiet, sweet, and easy going. He has been a dream to ride and is regularly doing walk, trot, canter, and pole work in our arena. We’ve even begun trail riding him and he has been a super star. He trailers very quietly and professionally without stress, stands for mounting well even off the farm, and was a relaxed and happy boy on the trail. He’s going to be really awesome for someone.
