“Schumer” is a 4 year old, 15-15.1 hand bay filly that retired from Monmouth Park through Second Call. She arrived to ATR mid-September and received a little time off to let some changes in her knees settle down. Now that she’s had some well-earned R&R, she’s just starting to return to work and seems happy to be doing something again.

Because of the amount of change in her knee, Schumer is expected to be adopted out as a light riding horse only. We hope she will be suitable for easy flat-work and relaxing trail rides. While she could certainly do a little more from time to time, or hop over a log to get from point A to point B on a trail, she should not be considered for those with aspirations to jump frequently or keep a full show calendar.

On the ground and under saddle, Schumer is a sweet mare and a straightforward horse for those familiar with OTTBs. She should do very nicely in a quiet program.
