Tiz Out Of Speight is a beautiful, big bodied, 16.2 hand, 4 year old, bay mare that came to us directly from her past racing connections at Wasabi Ventures through their organization Wasabi Aftercare. This gorgeous girl is by Force the Past and out of a Tiz Wonderful mare. She's a granddaughter of Speightstown and great granddaughter of Gone West, Dynaformer, Tiznow, and Deputy Minister. How is that for a pedigree?

While an injury cut short Tiz's racing career, she was retired responsibly and with that pedigree originally intended to pursue the life of a broodmare. Owner finances caused a change in plans though and Wasabi stepped up to see she was placed in a program like ATR to get a new start toward yet another new career.

We're pleased to say she came to us in beautiful condition, barefoot, and has no vices that we've observed. She was terrific for her vet evaluation. Our vet found her sound and pretty clean other than her old injury which was an apical fracture to a hind sesamoid. She's had plenty of time to heal, is very sound, and our vet thinks could go in many directions including doing some low level (think around 2') jumping.

We think she's a very attractive, athletic mare who seems to have a good brain. We can't wait to get her started under saddle and see what she likes to do!
