Third Card Down was adopted in August of 2023 by Johnny in NC. Johnny is a farrier who was looking for a fun horse to trail ride and enjoy. We've received reports he's already in love with her and can't wait to watch their progress and share in their future adventures!

Third Card Down is a 2015, bay mare who retired by way of Beyond the Wire in Maryland in 2020. She was adopted in 2021 and returned recently due to financial stress in her adopter's life.

Her adopter reports that she will walk/trot/canter in both directions and also trail rides both alone and in company. She said she is a very hard worker and while she bonded closely with her adopter, she also seemed to enjoy attention from kids.

Third Card Down was a hair off on arrival, but blocked out to a hoof. She came to us barefoot, but her adopter did say she does better in shoes, so we'll have shoes put back on. We've had a couple rides on her and she's very calm and easy going so far. She'll probably make a great family or all-around pleasure type horse for a lucky adopter.
