Description
Flare was adopted in April of 2023 by Collin in Camden, South Carolina. Flare is her second ATR horse and she hopes to bring her along to be a hunter in both the foxhunting and show sense. We can't wait to see how she grows in Collin's care.

Original post:
Sudden Flare is a 4 year old, NY-bred, bay filly who came to us by way of Aftercare Charles Town. I'm told her pictures taken at the track do not do her justice! This girl raced 6 times, never breaking her maiden, and is retiring sound.
Flare is by an Australian horse called Astern who is by Medaglia d'Oro, and she is out of a Mineshaft Mare. This should result in a pretty classy filly hopefully. She was evaluated at the track by a good vet who found her sound and without any limitations for her future career, but we will of course have our own vet go over her as well upon arrival.
Flare had a similar evaluation on the farm here confirming she is sound and uncomplicated. She should be able to go on to any discipline without known limitations. She's been off to a great start here under saddle and while she's green like most OTTBs, she is sweet, biddable, and lovely to ride.
Flare has no vices, is up to date on everything, and is ready to find a new partner!
