Amarga was adopted by Elaina in State College, PA to be an all around pleasure horse who her daughter might one day be able to use in 4-H. From all we hear, she’s doing fantastic and is much loved.

Amarga is a 3 year old, 16.1 hand, dark bay filly who came to ATR as a late 2 year old. Not wanting to put her to work so young, we’ve waited until this spring to really start her retraining. Amarga was unraced and did very little training at the track so she’s a bit luckier than most in that regard!

Amarga came from a good start, was always handled carefully and treated kindly and it shows. She is a sweet, lovely horse to work with who really seems to enjoy the company of people. She gets along well with other horses also and is sound with no vices.

We believe Amarga would make a very nice low to mid level horse, a pleasure horse, or trail horse. She is a lovely mover with a lot of natural potential and is a lot of fun to work with. If you enjoy a young horse and a nice project, she’d be one to consider.
