Rogallo was adopted in January of 2023 by a lovely family in Florida who are planning to bring him along as a trail and pleasure horse the whole family can one day enjoy. He has such a lovely temperament and way of going that we just know he's going to fit right in!

Rogallo is a good-sized, bay, 6 year old gelding who came to us by way of Second Call at Monmouth Park in New Jersey. He is a Florida-bred horse by Curlin and out of an Orientate mare, and once sold for $240,000 as a yearling! He raced 33 times, with his last race in July of 2022.

He retired with a fragment off a sesamoid that was removed surgically. His rehab was completed prior to After the Races. His surgeon thought he will do well in any flat home, and possibly do some jumping as well, just not high level jumping. Our vet has confirmed he is sound and ready to go back to work, which we will do as soon as weather and time both cooperate (tricky this time of year).

Rogallo is affectionately referred to as one of our barn "teddy bears." He is so sweet, kind, and just perfect, and I really hesitate to use that word typically. He stands nicely for the farrier/vet, has no vices, and even cross ties and loves being fussed over. He's just a very happy, easy going guy who is going to make someone a phenomenal partner.
