Rivermont Dr is a very cute, 3 year old, 16.0 hand, bay gelding that came to us in partnership with Aftercare Charles Town. He raced just 7 times, never quite hitting the board. He reportedly retired sound, sane, and just slow, and we thank his connections for that! Rivermont is by Long River and out of a Lookin At Lucky mare. This makes him a grandson of AP Indy on his dad's side!

Rivermont had a great evaluation with our vet who found him clean, but he was foot sore behind after having his hind shoes pulled. Even though it felt obvious, we did block to confirm that was all it is and he's getting shoes on July 3rd! Other than that, he has a mild club foot which will require a good farrier, and he needs a good bit of groceries, all of which he'll be getting here!

This guy has a very sweet temperament. He's very curious and seems to really thrive on attention and enjoy people's company. He has no vices, gets along well with his paddock mate and is not expected to have any limitations once his feet feel better. Photos were taken very soon after arrival. Depending on when you're reading this, he likely has a bit more weight and his feet should be on their way to looking better as well. We'll get more photos when we can as he fills out.
