Recused was adopted in January of 2023 by Donna in Texas. Donna is beyond excited to get him home and bring him along as her next all aroundpartner.

Recused is a beautiful, grey, KY bred gelding who came to us by way of Second Call and trainer Rory Huston (who always does right by his horses!). This guy is coming 4 years old, 16.3 hands, and retired sound after 7 races in which he never hit the board.

Recused is by Tapizar and out of a Cozar mare. This means he has Tapit, Deputy Minister, and Cozzene in his pedigree. He has big bones and looks like a sturdy guy who we could see looking awfully flashy in the hunt field or in the show ring.

Our vet found him sound and uncomplicated. He'd make a great addition to any family. He has no vices, is good to handle, and will be a big guy once he finishes growing and filling out!

Recused has been ridden by us walk, trot, and canter and is a very straightforward ride for a horse recently off the track. He has a good mind and would likely do well in any career, but should have the temperament for professionals or amateurs alike.
