Rapper Zapper was only with us a short amount of time and the first person who came out to meet him knew he was the one! Emily adopted RZ in winter 2026 and her long term goals are to have a horse she can hack out with and possibly do some jumpers if he shows interest in it.

Rapper Zapper is a flashy, athletic, 6 year old gelding who came to us in partnership with New Start based out of Penn National. He had wonderful racing connections who have worked with ATR and New Start both to retire many of their horses over the years. He is a very well-bred boy, being by Ghostzapper and out of a Holy Bull mare.

RZ came to us just three weeks after his last of 31 races. There were no races for two months at Penn National and it made for a perfect time to retire him responsibly. He arrived to ATR in great shape and had a great intake evaluation with our veterinarian who found him clean and sound. She thought he would be able to go in any direction without limits!

RZ is a very personable gelding and gets along well with the other gelding he's currently turned out with. He has no vices, is happy turned out, and is also happy in a stall. Currently front shod, this guy is getting a little down time before we put him back into work, but he's ready to go to an adopter who is happy to restart a horse off the track themselves. He seems like a good guy and we expect he'll be rather straightforward as far as these guys go.

Definitely one worth considering if you have competitive aspirations!
