Phoebe is a cute, 16 hand bay mare who is four years old. She retired sound and sane from the track in the summer of 2015. She was briefly adopted and then returned recently due to not being the best fit, and is ready to look for her new home. Our vet looked her over again in November and she’s still sound with no real limitations. Phoebe gets along well with other horses, has no vices, and stands tied for grooming and bathing. She’s good on the lunge line and just starting work again under saddle.
We think Phoebe would make a great horse for a pony clubber or adult alike who wants an active horse they can have fun with. She’s brave, willing, and eager. Still green, but making progress, she’d be most suitable for someone with some experience who will enjoy bringing her along. She’s done a little jumping with a past owner (who said she was great) and some trails, but she’ll need just a little refreshing at least to get back to jumping.
