Description
Philly was adopted by Claire in Lewes, DE to bring up in the young riders in eventing as well as to be her partner in the 2016 Retired Racehorse Project which she’s entered as a junior. We can’t wait to see how their partnership grows!

This coming 6 year old mare arrived at ATR in January from Parx’s Turning for Home program. She stands around 16 hands even. She was a lucky one not to start racing til she was four years old, but then did not show well as a racehorse. Reported a bit nervous at the track, she has settled down tremendously on our farm and is quickly becoming a barn favorite.
This mare is sweet, intelligent, and will do very well with a patient owner and rider. She is incredibly athletic, and her vet evaluation showed a sound horse without limitation. We can also tell you she has jumping potential as she cleared a 4.5′ fence at our farm during her first turn out! (Don’t worry, she’s never sought to repeat that experience and is now VERY happy with her turn out situation)
We’d especially like to see her go to someone who enjoys building a bond with their horse and is willing to take it slow. If you take your time with this one, she’s going to be capable of greatness, we’re sure of it. Zero vices and sound barefoot as an added bonus!
