Description
“PJ,” as he’s now known, was adopted by Caitlin and her family in Collegeville, PA in late August, 2016. He is moving on to work toward a career as a hunter/jumper with Caitlin aboard and we can’t be more excited for them both!

Original post:
Peanutbutterbrown came to us through Monmouth Park’s Second Call program. “Jiffy” is an 8 year old, ~16.3 hand gelding who retired after 34 starts sound with clean legs (other than one tiny old splint). He raced almost exclusively at Monmouth Park and had the off season off and came from very good care. He had a great vet evaluation with our vet and is ready to start his retraining.
Jiffy is reported to have been honest and kind at the track and his reputation stands here as well. He stands perfectly still when tied (crosstied, single tied, ground tied), and has given us all appearances of being a saint. He loves attention, is very sweet, and we can’t wait to get him back to work. His feet were trimmed a little too short before his arrival, and we had to give him time to grow some hoof which delayed his retraining.
Now that he’s back in shoes, we’re ready to get him going again. Feel free to contact us for updates on his progress. Jiffy is a mild cribber indoors (a strap stops it easily), but does not have to wear the strap when turned out. No other vices.
