Description
Pascal was adopted in October of 2022 by Connie in Virginia. Connie enjoys western riding, trails, and even camping with her horses. We can't wait to hear about their many adventures together.

Pascal Chant is a 7 year old, bay gelding who arrived by way of Beyond the Wire in Maryland. He is by Etched (by Forestry), and out of a Meadow Monster mare (by Meadowlake). Pascal raced 34 times but has reached a point in his career where he’s just not very happy at the track (in the gate, paddock, even in his stall), so his connections thought it was time for him to move on to a new career.
Pascal has been a total sweetheart since arrival. He’s very happy on our farm, and loves his turnout as well as his down time to eat and nap in his stall. He gets along well with the other geldings he’s turned out with and has no vices.
Our vet really liked Pascal and said he should do well in a mid-level home or equivalent. He is sound and well built. Only thing she found on his exam was an old tendon he probably went back and raced on successfully, so she’s not concerned about it long term. His feet did come to us in very rough shape, incredibly long toes with no heels. They are already improving after a few cycles and he's currently in steel front shoes with leather pads.
Pascal is built like a bulldog and about as cuddly as one. He has a great temperament and playful personality that most people will love. We have begun riding him and he's doing very well walk/trot so far and has been ridden up in our ring without issue. He's likely to be a very amateur friendly horse, and would even make a great pony club mount. He is very willing and eager to please and a joy to work with.
