ARRIVED AT ATR:
Telling X I'm Blooming, by Hennessy
Not Telling was adopted by Heather in Massachusetts in October of 2022. Not Telling is going to be Heather's next partner in eventing and we can't wait to see how they get on!
Not Telling is a smaller, 6 year old, 15.2 hand bay gelding with the cutest snip we’ve ever seen. This guy retired and came to ATR by way of Beyond the Wire in Maryland. He is a Florida-bred gelding by Telling and out of a Hennessy mare.
He raced 28 times with his last race in May of 2022, after which he retired with a simple crack in his shin. These are very straightforward injuries that heal wonderfully and puts no limits on his future. Most recent radiographs were taken at the end of July and showed it was healing very well. He was recently approved to go back to work and we put him back into work mid-September.
Not Telling has been doing mostly walk/trot though we recently started him at the canter. He is learning to trot poles and is very eager to offer stretches and flexes to his rider. While he’s working on his consistency, he has a great way of going that will be easy to redirect toward a new career. He has a lovely canter though feels a bit strong in the bridle until he settles into it, which he does with just a little help.
This little guy is very sweet and has been very good to handle in the barn. He quickly became a favorite among volunteers as he loves to be groomed and pampered over. He is easy to lead to/from his field and lives with a group of geldings with no issues. He has no vices, is front shod, and really can go in any direction.
