Not a Bother is a 6 year old, 16.2+ hand, bay mare that came to us in partnership with Beyond the Wire in Maryland. She raced just 5 times and retired with a recent tendon injury. This big girl is by Great Notion and out of a Dance With Ravens mare.

Not A Bother did well for her intake evaluation. She retired after having a small rebow of a tendon but has since had over 6 months of careful rehabilitation and our vet is very happy with her progress. Her most recent ultrasound on September 2nd showed her tendon is healing very well and our vet even thought she could go back to work in two months! She thinks long term, this mare could easily do well in the hunter ring, and in low level eventing. She also thinks she may be able to do more after she's proven herself at lower levels - time will tell.

We just know Bother will be a really fun project for someone. She has been very good to have in the barn and on the farm. She's great in turnout with a gelding and a mini mare. She has no vices and is a very attractive girl. She's available now to someone who doesn't mind giving her a little more turnout time before putting her back to work - though she'll be able to get restarted before you know it!
