No Conversation was adopted in May of 2026 by Alex in Delaware. Alex enjoys lots of disciplines and is looking forward to bringing Nico along as her partner in eventing, trails, and maybe even working equitation. Adventures await!

No Conversation is a big, 5 year old, chestnut gelding that came to us in partnership with Aftercare Charles Town. He raced for just over a year and never quite managed to win any of his 18 races. "Nico" is by Frank Conversation and out of a Touch Gold mare.

Nico had a great intake evaluation with our veterinarian who found him sound and clean. She gave him an excellent prognosis to go in any direction without known limitations. He's an athletic guy with a very eager-to-please temperament under saddle that we think will serve him well in any new career.

Our volunteers and staff all love interacting with Nico. He is quiet, sweet, and clearly loves attention, especially being groomed. Definitely a horse that's easy to fall in love with. Nico has no vices, is currently front shod, and up to date on everything. He is very submissive and pretty independent in turnout and does well here in a group of geldings but should fit in well with just about any herd.

Nico has been lightly restarted here at After the Races. He's done a good bit of ground work in our round pen and has been ridden walk, trot, and canter in the larger arena, even walking and trotting over some poles. While green, he is very honest and straightforward and should be a lot of fun for an adult amateur or even a confident teenager that works closely with a trainer.

Whether you have pleasure riding goals or competitive ones, we truly believe Nico has what it takes to make an excellent long-term partner. His temperament and desire to please cannot be understated. Definitely one to take a chance on if you feel on the fence about this one.
