Mason Mason is a 9 year old, bay gelding that came to us in partnership with Beyond the Wire. This guy is a true warhorse having raced 59 times with his last race mid-November. He is by Animal Kingdom and out of a Dance With Ravens mare, meaning he has a cool pedigree!

Mason was with the same connections his entire career after being purchased as a yearling. It was hard to let him go as he was such a pleasant presence in the barn. Reportedly his trainer would put his kids on him when they'd visit from the track, and Mason was also entrusted to help teach new track-riders the ropes.

He had a great intake evaluation with our vet who found him sound and ready to rock and roll into a new home with no expected limitations. You'd never have known Mason came to us as a 9 year old stallion. He was never mouthy or pushy, and he loves being groomed and loved on. Now gelded, he enjoys being turned out with two other geldings without any issues, and even lets another gelding be the boss. No studly attitude here!

Now that weather is finally improving, we've been able to do ground work with Mason and are just starting to get on him as well. His first ride was very easy going. He was even a bit pokey as he wasn't quite sure what to do when a rider has their stirrups at a normal length. While Mason should do well with any experienced rider/trainer, we believe he also has great potential to be amateur friendly as well.

Definitely one to take a chance on! We're pretty sure the first person to come visit him will fall in love.
