Miss Shelter Haven is a 4 year old, 16.1 hand, chestnut mare who arrived in June, 2015. She is unraced and retired with beautifully clean legs. Her grooms at the track said she was just big and slow, but she’s proven incredibly well mannered and sweet to work with. Miss Shelter Haven has been a doll to have around the barn, gets along well with other horses, and looks to have pretty good feet.

Shelter has been getting ridden walk, trot, and canter, though is learning to balance herself at the canter. She absolutely loves trails and does great leading and following. Shelter also loves to jump and will jump logs on the trails as well as small jumps in the ring. She is still green, but has no limitations, and would make a nice project for someone looking to bring along a young horse. Needs a consistent rider for ring work.
