Mice and Men was adopted in February of 2024 b y Theresa in Pennsylvania. Theresa is so excited to have him as her next lifelong partner in crime. She is excited to bring him along as her pleasure and trail horse, with some lessons and off the farm adventures mixed in. He also went to a farm that multiple ATR grads have called home over the years so we can't be more excited for him!

Mice and Men is a 9 year old, 16.2 hand, chestnut gelding that came to us in partnership with Beyond the Wire in Maryland. He is essentially a warhorse, having raced 45 times! This cool guy is by Plan and out of a Not for Love mare. This means he's a grandson of Storm Cat and has Thunder Gultch on his sire's side as well. Not too shabby!

Mice and Men has been easy to handle and work with since arrival. He has no vices and is currently turned out with a few other geldings and shares a fence with mares. Our vet was super impressed with him. He was sound for his evaluation and the only blemish she could find was an old, small splint. Pretty incredible for a horse with his history!

Mice and Men last raced in January, so he got some time off before going back to work. He's now back in work and is so quiet, straightforward, and kind. He is going to make someone a very cool partner. The warhorses almost never disappoint in their next career!
