Description
Mercedes was adopted by Melinda near Newport News, Virginia who adopted TheFiveSecondRule from us before her. Melinda is looking forward to playing with Mercedes in natural horsemanship and really building a solid bond before moving on to training her up as a pleasure horse and possibly hunter. Can’t be happier for her! Mercedes went home in July of 2016.

Mercedes is a coming 3 year old filly given to ATR by a very kind and responsible breeder who decided not to race her. They started her with tack but did not put a rider on her before we got her. This filly incredibly mild-mannered and easy to work with and was reported the same at her breeder’s farm. She is very easy out in the field with the other horses and let us pull her mane and clean up her whiskers like a pro. She has great feet and was very sound for her vet evaluation.
Her knees are a little offset so she likely won’t make an upper level horse, but she should be good for most other disciplines and levels if you have the know-how and desire to bring along a lovely baby. We’ve been starting Mercedes under saddle and she takes absolutely everything in stride. She’s being ridden at the walk in the round pen, is learning to steer, has great brakes, and is standing for the mounting block. Trot work should start soon!
