Mango Beach is a beautiful, 15.2 hand, 7 year old gelding looking for his next home. Mango had a short, unsuccessful racing career and was retrained off the track in dressage and competitive trail riding. He has an excellent brain and remains calm in high winds, rattling indoor arenas, around dogs and cats, and farm equipment. He loads well and stands calmly for the vet and farrier.

After a paddock injury cut short his dressage career, Mango is looking for a new home with laid back riding goals. He has an excellent foundation of training and his owner included videos that show this. He loves trail riding and can go out alone or in company, and is happy to lead or be last when out with others. He is serviceably sound, but will do best as a low key trail horse and pleasure horse with a rider who enjoys going at a leisurely pace, though is not suitable for a complete beginner. While not what one would consider an "in your pocket" horse, he loves to work and enjoys having a job to do, including taking care of his rider as he reportedly does not have any spook, buck, or bolt in him.

Mango loves to be groomed, especially with grooming gloves and will let you know how happy he is by drooling and stretching. He is currently turned out daily with a younger gelding whose company he enjoys. He is shod and, like most Thoroughbreds, requires a good farrier. Mango is beloved by his current owner and trainer and they want to ensure that he finds a new home where he will be loved and appreciated for the smart and solid brained horse he is.

Please note the video showing him practicing for competitive trail is to show off his training, not to suggest he's still suitable for competitive trail (though leisurely trail riding is fine!).
