Honors Due is a 4 year old, bay gelding that came to us in partnership with Beyond the Wire in Maryland. He retired sound after racing after a lackluster career of 14 races. He was apparently quiet enough there were a couple people at the track that considered him for potential pony horse training! He is by Instagrand and out of an Arch mare. This means he has Harlan's Holiday, Kris S, and Holy Bull all a few generations back.

Upon arrival, he had a great intake evaluation with our veterinarian who found him clean and sound with an excellent prognosis. He has no known limitations for his next career. He's very unassuming on the surface with his quiet temperament, but he is a very nice, athletic mover!

He is also an incredible sweetheart. He is very kind and quiet minded and has been incredibly easy to work with and have around. He's been turned out with other geldings with no issues and while he's a mild cribber, we don't have to use the collar when he's turned out thanks to our electric fence.

We've started putting Honor back to work and he is a very fun, straightforward horse to work with. He has a nice, uphill canter and at the moment is more of a kick ride (though that should improve with fitness). He also happily bops through the water at all three gaits and will likely be a great, confidence-building project for someone to bring along.

He's available now to someone who appreciates a terrific brain and a willing partner!
