Halligirl is a 5 year old, 16 hand, bay mare who came to After the Races directly from her racing connections. After 29 races, her breeder claimed her back just to retire her which is the kind of story we love to hear! This pretty mare is by Connect and out of a Halling mare. This means she is a granddaughter of Curlin with Smart Strike, Holy Bull, and other greats farther back in her pedigree.

Halli retired sound and had plenty of time of well deserved downtime. She lives out with other horses without issues and has no vices!

We recently started her back under saddle and she is, predictably, very straight forward. She shows with each ride that she could make an adult amateur mount or appeal to professionals as she has no known limitations. We have ridden her in the round pen as well as up in the big arena, walk/trot/canter with no issues. She's a very sweet mare who loves to work and is ready for her new home!

We know she's going to make someone one excellent partner!
