Malcom was adopted in December of 2023 by Cat who is keeping him in Delaware with a few other ATR grads! Cat is looking forward to bringing him along as a pleasure horse and trail horse that hopefully one day she can share with her family.

Galactic Slam, or "Malcom" as his connections called him, is a big bodied, 7 yr old gelding who came to us directly from very caring owners. Malcom i s by Seville (GER), and out of a Grand Slam mare which means he has all the potential in the world as a sport horse!

Malcom raced just 9 times with his last race in 2021. Upon retirement he was first given to a young rider who found him to be too much horse. After that they took him back and just let him be a horse on the farm. His racing owners would visit frequently carrying a bucket of carrots and other treats. They took such great care of him and enjoyed having him as a pet. Eventually though, they reached a point though where they had to downsize the herd and so they sent Malcom to us to restart again and find a new home. And they STILL come almost weekly to visit and give him carrots!

Malcom is sound and had a clean evaluation with our vet on arrival. He is not expected to have any limitations. He did get in an argument with our fence about 10 days into being here (an argument he lost) which is why we're only just posting him now. He's all healed up and ready to go back to work!
