Description
Maxwell was adopted by a wonderful couple, Patricia and Harlan, in Illinois to be a slow, steady trail horse. They made the drive to pick him up and have reported he’s doing well. One of their barn mates adopted Chester so the two who lived together here get to continue living together there, and we couldn’t be happier for them. If things go as planned, this will be a lifetime home for both.

ForAllTheGlory is another warhorse recently arrived from Second Call, the retirement program at Monmouth Park. He is a 9 year old, bay gelding that stands around 16 hands and he had an amazing career with 52 starts.
“Maxwell” was reported to have simply ceased being competitive as a racehorse, and looking at his racing record, we’d believe that to be the truth! Maxwell was very lucky to have retired sound even after such a strenuous career, but we do expect he will be most appropriate for a mid to lower level home (think Novice level eventing or equivalent).
So far, he’s been enjoying adjusting to his new routine here at the farm and has been settling in very well. Maxwell is currently turned out with three mares and another gelding and gets along very well with others. We hope to put him into work here shortly and will update here and/or on Facebook when we do!
