Description
Family Gal is a 3 year old, chestnut filly that came to us in partnership with Beyond the Wire in Maryland. She raced 5 times, all last year. We were told she bowed a tendon about 4 months before coming to ATR, but we also saw that she had timed workouts in April.
Needless to say we'll get our vet investigating as there may have been a lost in translation situation happening! At the very least we suspect she has an old tendon injury, and her upcoming evaluation with our vet will shine more light on her situation. She was sound to jog at the track though when evaluated prior to coming to ATR.
This filly is by Biblical and out of a Noble Mission(GB) mare. This means she's a granddaughter of Tapit as well! Family Gal is absolutely adorable, with a big, white blaze, and seems to be well mannered. She has no vices and will be getting seen by our veterinarian soon and we'll figure out what direction she needs to go in.
