Early is a 3 year old, petite, bay filly who came to us in partnership with New Start for Horses in PA. She raced just 6 times, with her last race on August 29th of 2014. She never won a race and managed 3rd just once. This girl is by Boisterous and out of a Discreetly Mine mare.

She reportedly retired sound. She was a little sore behind during her intake evaluation but had just had her shoes pulled by the farrier, so our vet wasn't too excited about it. She does have a scar on the left side of her neck from a flesh wound as a baby. After having a little time to settle in, her feet have toughened up and she's been nice and sound! Our vet doesn't expect she'll have any limitations.

Early is a sweet but sensitive filly who would benefit from an experienced partner who likes to take their time, build a relationship and a bond on the ground before asking tougher questions of her. She has no vices, but was touchy when she was in heat. She's really enjoyed doing some ground work in our round pen with one of our volunteers and has proven to be actually pretty game under saddle with the few rides we've had on her.

She's green but tries hard and has a lovely canter - just needs a confident rider/handler as she gets back into a routine and works toward a second career.
