Don'tCallTooEarly is a big, 16.3 hand, 6 year old, bay gelding who originally came to us in partnership with Aftercare Charles Town. He is a bit of a warhorse after running 46 times and reportedly retired sound! This sweet guy is by Real Estate and out of an Our Emblem mare. He was recently returned due to financial hardship his adopter was facing, and no fault of his own!

Don'tCallTooEarly, in addition to having a name I can relate to, has no vices and is currently turned out another gelding. After racing 46 times, his legs aren't visually perfect but joints all have good range of motion and he's very sound. He also stayed sound in work with is previous adopter doing some dressage, small jumping courses, and some cross country training. Our vet thought he would do really well in most disciplines and at most levels, though upper level eventers may want to consider a PPE.

Early has settled back in very well with us and loves attention. While we haven't had a chance yet to ride him since his return, we have been doing some ground work in the round pen and have done some lunging in the arena with him as well and he's been very good to work with.

If you're willing to take a chance on a really big guy, with a big heart to match, he's worth considering!
