DJ Manlove is a 2010 gelding by Stormy Atlantic and he looks JUST like his sire! He is 16.2+ hands, very well bred and classy.
Manlove has had plenty of time to let down since retiring from the track. We have had him in light work, focusing mostly on flat work and trail riding as his initial vet evaluation showed some wear and tear that will limit him to a life of pleasure and trails. Thankfully, he has a wonderful temperament and could do very well in both settings!
Manlove is a joy to work with. He has been nothing but sensible on trails, good in our grass ring, and has excellent manners in the barn. He gets along well with other horses, but also works well on his own. He’s definitely in possession of an in-your-pocket personality type that will fit in well in any barn. We frequently use Manlove when we have a nervous new arrival, as he’s proven worth his weight in gold as a companion. He has taught several of our more nervous arrivals how to horse out in the pasture and has yet to meet a horse he doesn’t like or that doesn’t like him!
We believe Manlove is looking for a life as a trail horse or active pleasure horse. Suitable for intermediate riders or a really confident beginner, we think he’d make a great husband horse as well.
