Description
Connie's Dance is a 4 year old, chestnut filly who came to us in partnership with Beyond the Wire in Maryland. She retired nice and sound after 5 starts and not hitting the board. Good for her to be able to retire somewhat early!
Connie's Dance is by Long River and out of a Cat Thief mare. This actually makes her a granddaughter of AP Indy! She also has Awesome Again, Storm Cat, Seattle Slew, and Kris S all a few generations back. Classy girl.
Connie's Dance had a great evaluation with our vet and is not expected to have any limitations! She's been back to work for a while now and is a very fun mare to work with, tries very hard, and is a comfortable ride. She has been ridden in round pens, around the training track, around the farm, and in our grass arena and is happy wherever she goes.
Connie has been turned out with mares and geldings (and a mini mare!) without any issues. We even frequently see her sharing a feed bucket outside with a friend. She'll make a really sweet addition to any barn.
Connie's is an incredibly infrequent and light cribber who we don't even put a strap on because it's so minimal. The more she's out on grass, the less she takes the time! Don't let that minor, solvable (in her case) issue, put you off this incredible mare!
