Catch the Kitten is a 6 year old, bay mare who came to us in partnership with Beyond the Wire in Maryland. Kitten raced 28 times and had her last race and recorded workout in May. Kitten is by Blame and out of a Kitten's Joy mare which means she has some pretty cool breeding if you explore her pedigree!

Kitten came to ATR after having a recent slab fracture repaired by renowned surgeon Dr. Patty Hogan. While she had her at her clinic, Patty went ahead and took images of her other knee (usually if there's stuff in one, there's stuff in both). She found a chip in that other knee that was absolutely perfect for removal. Patty said she should have a good prognosis to a mid-to-upper level riding career once healed!

Kitten has shown no vices so far and is a good eater. She's sweet, inquisitive, and was a good patient while rehabbing. Our vet cleared her the other day to come back to work and she has been enjoying full turnout with a group of mares. We have not restarted her yet but she is available now to someone comfortable with restarting her themself.
