Castle of Caylee is a pretty, 16.1 hand, 9 year old, grey warhorse mare that came to us in partnership with Aftercare Charles Town! This girl raced 54 times, all at Charles Town, with her last race in August of 2024. She is by Windsor Castle and out of an Even the Score mare.

Caylee is sound after being rehabbed from a tendon injury she had last summer. She's cleared for a full return to work and has a few rides under her belt now. When Caylee first came into our program she was not very trusting of people and has come a very long way. Under saddle we mostly just walk or do some walk/trot in our round pen with her while she regains some confidence under saddle.

She's a very nice mare who tries hard and should thrive with someone who likes to take their time and do a lot of groundwork. She's seems to really enjoy doing the ground work and seeks connection with her handler. Caylee loves peppermints and is getting better at tolerating the wash stall and being groomed. She has no vices and wants to connect with people, she just needs the right person who will meet her where she's at.

In turnout she goes out with mares and geldings without issue. She's also barefoot. Our vet believes she should be matched with a non jumping home but thinks she should do great in pleasure riding, dressage, flat hunter classes, paperchases, and other fun things that just don't take her over fences. Hopping over a log to get from point A to point B should be just fine.
