BellsInTheWoods is a lovely, Irish born-and-bred, 8 year old, 15.3+ hand, bay mare. She comes from Irish stock as she's by Ivawood (IRE) and out of a Montjeu (IRE) mare.

Bell raced just 8 times, never crossing the line first, and originally came to us in 2021 after having a fragment removed from a sesamoid. The surgeon at the time gave her a good prognosis for a second career. She was adopted out and returned 4 years later when her adopter was forced to get out of horses completely.

Bell is really just a good girl. She's good in turnout, good in a stall, good to handle, good to tack up and groom, and she's pretty straightforward under saddle. She's either a bit green or a bit rusty after some time off, but goes around very happily on a loose rein. While she does have a nice canter, she needs a bit of support from a rider to help her balance as she gets back into shape.

Our vet believes she'll do well in any home that focuses on riding on the flat, and can probably do some light/low jumping as well. She's a willing mare and we think someone with pleasure horse goals will absolutely love and enjoy her.

She has no vices and is currently sound barefoot. If she goes into more regular riding she may need hoof boots if you plan to keep her barefoot, or could benefit from front shoes if she goes into more regular work.
