Baby Sox is a 6 year old, 16 hand, chestnut mare that came to us in partnership with Beyond the Wire in Maryland. This Kentucky-bred girl's classy pedigree is on display with Carson City, Johannesburg, and Proud Citizen a couple generations back, and her racing career naturally came to an end after 41 starts.

Our veterinarian really enjoyed this one during her intake exam and believes her prognosis for the next career is excellent, with no known limitations to speak of!

Sox is a very sweet girl who loves attention and grooming and she has been good to handle since she arrived. She has no vices whatsoever and is currently front-shod. Like all horses coming to us off the track, she's getting some much-deserved downtime to enjoy turnout and getting to be a horse and we plan to put her back into work mid-to-late October.

Until then, she is available to adopt by someone with experience bringing along an OTTB or other greenies, who will enjoy having a sweet, sturdy mare to call their own. Sox is also the current favorite of our farm manager, so someone needs to snatch her up before she does!
