Aunt Virginia was adopted by Kiley in Vermont who picked her up in March of 2023. Kiley is excited to bring her along both on the trails and eventually in the hunter ring. She was just head over heels for her and we can't wait to see how they grow together!
Aunt Virginia is a striking, 4 year old, bay filly who arrived in December through Aftercare Charles Town. She retired after just 3 starts when her trainer noticed she wasn't quite right. He made a good call as she had a nondisplaced chip in one knee. The good news is it was caught at a great time!
This filly is by Majestic City, out of a Silent Name (JPN) mare. She is very sweet and easy to handle, even when she was on layup. She does crib, mostly around feed times indoors. She just got cleared for turnout so we'll be interested to see if she does it outside.
Aunt Virginia got a checkup on 3/9/23 that showed she was nice and sound and ready to go back to full turnout and return to work. Vet said she could probably do up to Novice level eventing or equivalent. No big limitations. She has a super temperament too so will likely be amateur friendly.
Once she's turned out for a bit, we'll put her to work and see how she goes. She's available in the meantime to someone willing to restart her themselves.
