Mr. Busta was adopted in October of 2025 by Monica and her daughter. Busta will be their first horse and they are so excited to go on the journey of bringing him along with the help of their trainer, themselves an ATR adopter and winner of the ranch division at the 2025 Thoroughbred Makeover. We can't wait to watch them grow together!

Mr. Busta is an adorable, 6 year old, 16 hand, chestnut gelding that came to us in partnership with Aftercare Charles Town. Busta is by Bustin Stones and out of a Yes It's True mare. This means he's also the grandson of Carson City, a favorite here at ATR! Busta raced 16 times with his last race in March of this year.

Busta retired sound but was trimmed unfortunately short prior to arriving to ATR. We do know he has some changes in one knee but both the surgeon that evaluated him at the track and ATR's vet agree that he should still be suitable for low to mid level jumping and showing.

In addition to being c'yuuuute, Busta is incredibly sweet, curious, and has an endearing personality. He has quickly became a barn favorite and loves treats, grooming, and attention. He has no vices and has been turned out with a mixed field without issue.

After some well deserved let down time, Busta is now going back to work and is ready to rock and roll. Video of his first ride can be seen below and he couldn't have been much better, doing walk, trot, and canter all with a loop in his rein. He's a very quiet-minded horse with a chill personality that we think will be very amateur friendly. He could go in any direction and will break a lot of hearts once he's snatched up by one lucky adopter!
